SIMPLY PUT…

We’re working with local communities to transform Urban spaces from ‘meh’ to ‘hell yeah!’ Why? Because banishing the bland doesn’t stop at what you eat. We’re passionate about working with charities and community groups to provide accessible green spaces for all to enjoy. We’re also conscious of the carbon footprint we create, and this initiative is one of the ways we’re helping to offset our emissions.

TO KICK THE PROJECT OFF…

We’ve teamed up with the incredible team at Leicester-based charity E2, who provide a range of crucial services to the local community, with a particular focus on supporting younger people through education and upskilling in IT.

“IT IS EASY FOR COMPANIES TO TALK THE TALK WHEN IT COMES TO CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES THEY WORK IN. URBAN EAT HAS DEMONSTRATED THAT THEY ARE MORE ABOUT ACTION THAN WORDS.”

MARTIN BUCHANAN, CEO AT E2 AND THE KEY DRIVER OF OUR FIRST INITIATIVE.

THE WORK CONTINUES

Urban Eat is helping to take a derelict piece of land in the middle of a very disadvantaged community and turn it into an oasis of nature and tranquility that incorporates 1,000s of hard-working bees who will do their bit to pollinate local flowers and wildlife. Urban Eat is working alongside us to create a new pilot called The Urban Garden, which will benefit local people, the urban landscape, and the environment.

The digging has commenced and we’ll be busy getting our hands dirty over the coming months to transform this unloved patch of land into a spectacular community garden.
