Sometimes it feels like our lives are getting busier and busier with an increasing amount of ‘stuff’ vying for our attention! This applies to the world of food too where it seems everyone wants to tell us what we should or should not be eating. Here at Urban Eat, we offer a choice of products for customers – whether you’re looking for a healthy office lunch, high protein snack or a more indulgent option.

We know it can be difficult to find a nutritious lunch whilst on the move. Health is climbing higher and higher on the agenda as 63% of consumers try to eat healthy most or all of the time. So, of course we’re innovating with feel-good On the Go lunches that offer robust health credentials that don’t feel like a compromise.

This is why we introduced our new Light Choice range, part of our Urban Eat Core collection.

The Light Choice range provides healthy sandwich and wrap options under 400 calories that tap into the healthy eating occasion – they carry no ‘red’ nutritionals without compromising on taste.

The Light Choice range includes classic flavour combinations such as Chicken Salad and Prawn with Lemon Mayo sarnies, as well as a Falafel and Houmous Flatbread.

Taste is still the key driver of sales so we worked hard with our development team to make the Light Choice range as tasty as possible, to ensure that people keep eating them!

To kick-start 2020, we have introduced a healthy wrap to our portfolio, influenced by one of the most iconic sauces in world food:

  • Sriracha Chicken Wrap: chicken breast with a spicy sriracha mayo, carrot and ginger slaw and spinach in a spinach wrap

Our NPD team always ensures we’re tapping into the latest flavour trends – our new Urban Eat portfolio takes inspiration from Indo-European, South American and Middle Eastern flavours.
